ACC PLUS 25 LTR
Unitor™ ACC Plus is a powerful micro emulsion based cleaning agent for cleaning of diesel engine air coolers, scavenging air systems and the compressor side of turbochargers.
Description
Unitor ACC Plus – Environmentally Friendly Air Cooler Cleaner
Unitor ACC Plus is a modern air cooler cleaner designed to meet today’s strict environmental standards. It is a microemulsion cleaner that uses a blend of biodegradable surfactants and low-toxicity solvents. Because of this, it replaces traditional chlorinated cleaners without reducing cleaning performance. The product contains no chlorinated solvents, no aromatic hydrocarbons and no nonylphenol ethoxylates, making it safe for both the environment and engine room personnel.
ACC Plus™ is specifically developed for removing oil, grease and carbon deposits from air coolers, scavenging systems and a wide range of engine parts.

Directions for Use
Unitor ACC Plus can be used in several cleaning methods. The right method depends on the level of contamination and whether the engine is in service or stopped.
1. Recirculation Cleaning (In-situ)
(Engine must be stopped and secured)
-
Use spray nozzles together with a cleaning tank and pump, such as the Unitor™ Chemical Cleaning Unit.
-
Mix 10–30% ACC Plus™ with fresh water depending on contamination levels.
-
Blind off the cooler outlet.
-
Circulate the solution through the cooler for 1 to 6 hours.
-
Rinse thoroughly with fresh water.
-
Remove the outlet blind and disconnect equipment.
2. Soaking Method (In-situ)
(Engine must be stopped and secured)
-
Blind off the cooler outlet.
-
Flood the cooler with a 10–30% solution of ACC Plus™.
-
Soak for 1–6 hours.
-
Agitation with steam or compressed air improves results.
-
Drain to slop tank and rinse with fresh water.
3. Soak Bath (Out of Service)
-
Remove the cooler and place it in a soak bath.
-
Use a 10–30% ACC Plus™ solution.
-
Soak for 1–6 hours.
-
Agitate with steam or compressed air if needed.
-
Rinse with fresh water and reinstall the cooler.
This method is also effective for individual machine parts with heavy carbon deposits.
4. Hand Spray Cleaning
-
Stop and secure the engine.
-
Open the inspection cover and drain valve.
-
Spray undiluted ACC Plus™ directly into the cooler tube nest using a Unitor Jet Spray Unit.
-
Allow at least 1 hour penetration time.
-
Rinse with a high-pressure jet.
-
Close the inspection cover and drain.
5. In-Service Cleaning
This method injects the cleaner upstream of the air cooler during engine operation.
-
Prepare a 25% ACC Plus™ solution in freshwater.
-
Use the correct dosing equipment approved by the engine manufacturer.
-
Inject the cleaning solution for 10 minutes.
-
After another 10 minutes, inject an equal amount of clean water to rinse.
