BALLAST TANK INHIBITOR 9-933 25 L

NALFLEET™ Ballast Tank Inhibitor 9-933™ is a liquid film-forming corrosion inhibitor. For use in ballast tanks, bilges, voids, cofferdams and barges. NALFLEET™ Ballast Tank Inhibitor 9-933™ is a blend of organic and inorganic inhibitors. It contains no chromates and is completely soluble in sea water.

Description

NALFLEET Ballast Tank Inhibitor 9-933 protects ballast tanks, cofferdams, barges and void spaces from corrosion. It forms a tightly bonded protective film on metal surfaces below the waterline. In addition, the film remains stable across a wide pH and temperature range, which ensures reliable performance during tank operations.

Furthermore, the product works well in systems where dissolved oxygen is present. This gives crews more flexibility when treating tanks during filling or transfers.

Features

  • Effective for ballast tanks, cofferdams, barges and voids

  • Forms a strong and stable protective film

Directions for use

NALFLEET™ Ballast Tank Inhibitor 9-933 is normally added neat during tank filling. Because of the natural turbulence, the product distributes quickly and provides even protection.
If the tank is already full, the inhibitor can be circulated or air-agitated to secure proper mixing. Both options give effective distribution without reducing corrosion protection.

Dosing and control

  • Initial dose: 100 ml per ton of water (provides 2–4 ppm zinc)

  • Refill dose: 50 ml per ton each time the tank is refilled

As a result, the system remains protected even when ballast tanks frequently cycle between empty and full.
