Unitor BilgeWater Flocculant is an advanced, iron-free treatment chemical designed to break stable oil-in-water emulsions found in marine bilge systems. It is fully environmentally safe and approved by leading bilge water separator manufacturers.

By destabilizing emulsified oil and forming larger flocs, the product enables efficient filtration and ensures vessels can meet strict international discharge regulations—typically achieving < 3 ppm oil in treated effluent.

Directions for Use

Dosing Method

• Typical dose rate: 100–500 ppm
  (0.1–0.5 L per m³ bilge water)

In multistage bilge water treatment systems:

1. Feed undiluted using a dosing pump on the pressure side of the oil descaler.

2. Adjustment is typically done during installation and rarely needs further fine-tuning.

3. Dosing may also be level-controlled from the flocculant container if required.

After dosing, the product breaks emulsions and creates large, filterable flocs—improving system performance and effluent quality.
