Description

Unitor Coldwash HD is a powerful, solvent-free degreaser designed for fast penetration and efficient removal of mineral oils and petroleum-based residues. Its biodegradable emulsifying agents help ensure effective cleaning without the use of harmful compounds such as nonyl phenol ethoxylates. In addition, the product splits naturally after use, allowing the oil phase to separate for easy recovery and compliant disposal.

Because it is safe on most painted surfaces and metals, Coldwash HD is ideal for cleaning tasks in machinery spaces, engine rooms, bilges, bulkheads and tank tops. The product rinses quickly and leaves surfaces clean, dry and oil-free, which helps reduce downtime onboard.

Directions for Use

General Cleaning

Unitor™ Coldwash HD™ is suitable for a wide range of engine room and machinery cleaning tasks. Apply the product neat using a brush, hand sprayer, immersion bath or soaking method.
Allow a contact time between 15 minutes and 2 hours, depending on surface conditions. Rinsing with hot water, however, will significantly improve cleaning efficiency.

Spot Cleaning

Spray the product directly onto heavily contaminated areas.
Let the cleaner work for 30 minutes up to 2 hours.
Bulkheads and vertical surfaces can be washed down afterward using high-pressure equipment. The best results are achieved with water heated to 60–80°C.

Spray Method

Spray Coldwash HD™ neat onto the contaminated surface. After 15–30 minutes, rinse thoroughly with water. Stubborn deposits may require light scrubbing to boost mechanical action.

Soak Method

Small components and mechanical parts can be immersed in neat product for approximately 30 minutes. After soaking, rinse thoroughly with water to remove all residues.

Circulation Method

Equipment such as lube oil heat exchangers, fuel oil preheaters and filter housings can be cleaned by circulating neat Coldwash HD™ through the system. This method provides excellent penetration and helps loosen and remove oil-based deposits.
