GAMAZYME 700FN 12KG
Unitor™ Gamazyme™ 700FN is a biological odour-control powder formulated for shipboard waste systems. It breaks down organic waste, restores biological balance, and eliminates unpleasant smells.
Description
Unitor Gamazyme 700FN is a biologically active powder designed to degrade residual organic waste in shipboard sanitation pipework, holding tanks, and marine sewage treatment plants.
It contains a unique blend of specialised bacterial strains that digest grease, fats, starch, sewage, paper, and other organic compounds – restoring biological balance and reducing unpleasant odours.
The bacteria in Gamazyme 700FN colonise the organic material that lines the inside of pipes and tanks, digesting the waste until the system is clean. This reactivates and strengthens biological activity within the marine sewage treatment plant, allowing it to handle larger waste volumes while preventing blockages and foul smells in toilet areas and scuppers.

Directions for Use
1. Sewage Treatment Plants
For reactivating or maintaining biological activity:
-
Mix 1 kg of Gamazyme™ 700FN with 10–15 litres of warm (35°C) fresh water.
-
Let stand for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
-
Dose directly into the sewage tank or via the nearest toilet daily until the system operates efficiently.
-
For maintenance, dose 0.1–0.25 kg weekly.
For passenger vessels:
-
Use 50 g per m³ of sewage tank volume as an initial dose, followed by 10 g per m³ weekly.
Example:
A vessel with a 100 m³ sewage tank operating for two weeks with 2,500 people onboard will use approximately 7 kg of Gamazyme™ 700FN.
2. Tank Cleaning
To clean holding or sewage tanks prior to inspection or maintenance:
-
Fill tanks to 75% with fresh or seawater and provide gentle aeration.
-
Mix 0.5 kg Gamazyme™ 700FN in 5–10 litres of 35°C water, let stand 15 minutes, and dose into the tank.
-
Leave for at least 48 hours with aeration running.
-
Dose rate: 0.5 kg per 500 litres tank capacity (minimum 5 kg).
Performance improves with warm water (35°C).
3. Pipe Cleaning
To remove organic build-up in pipes and drains:
-
Mix 0.5 kg of Gamazyme™ 700FN with 15–20 litres of 35°C fresh water.
-
Allow the solution to activate for 15 minutes.
-
Dose 1 litre of the mixture into sinks, showers, scuppers, and drains daily until flow improves.
-
Continue with maintenance dosing once or twice weekly.
Avoid acids, caustics, and disinfectants – these will kill the active bacteria.
