NALFLEET RO Alkaline Cleaner is a mild alkaline liquid cleaner formulated to remove organic fouling, biological slimes, and selected inorganic deposits from reverse osmosis (RO) membranes. It is compatible with a wide range of membrane types and helps restore system performance, reduce energy consumption, and extend membrane lifespan.

RO Alkaline Cleaner is particularly effective when used together with NALFLEET™ RO Surfactant Cleaner for difficult organic and microbial fouling.

Directions for Use

Cleaning Procedure

• Feed via a closed feed system only.

• Prepare the cleaning solution using chlorine-free water at a concentration of 2.0–2.5% RO Alkaline Cleaner.

• Cleaning progress may be monitored by checking hardness pickup in the cleaning solution.

When to Clean

Clean RO membranes when any of the following occur:

• 10–15% drop in normalized permeate flow

• 10–15% loss in salt rejection

• 10–15% increase in differential pressure

Maintaining a regular cleaning program can provide a 100–250% ROI by reducing pump workload, preventing downtime, and maximizing membrane service life.

Important Compatibility Notes

• Do not store or use the neat product with brass or phenolic-coated steel drums.
