Description
Polyethylene glycols are made of condensed ethylene oxide and water. They are widely used in cosmetic products as surfactants, emulsifiers, cleansing agents, humectants, and skin conditioners. PEG 200 is often used as a defoaming agent, lubricant and viscosity modifier. It is also used as a coating for fresh fruit, as a solvent in metal working fluids, as a binder and modifier in latex paints, and as a humectant in inks and abrasives.
