SLIP-COAT 25 LTR
Unitor™ Slip-Coat™ is a water based liquid product specially formulated to leave a thin, temporary non-water resistant film / barrier on cargo hold surfaces.
Description
Unitor Slip-Coat – Water-Soluble Cargo Hold Barrier Film
Unitor™ Slip-Coat™ is a highly effective, water-soluble barrier film designed to prevent cargo from adhering to hold surfaces. By forming a thin, clear coating, Slip-Coat dramatically reduces cleaning time after unloading and improves overall cleaning results.
The film is safe for all cargoes—including foodstuffs—and contains only FDA-listed ingredients. It is non-corrosive, environmentally safe and does not contaminate cargo, making it suitable for all vessel types and coating systems.

Directions for Use
When Slip-Coat dries, it forms a thin, non-sticky protective film that fills microscopic pores in the hold coating. This prevents cargo particles from embedding in the surface, which normally causes heavy adhesion and difficult cleaning.
Why Slip-Coat Improves Cleaning
-
Eliminates the electrostatic attraction that makes fine particles cling
-
Allows removal of dust and cargo residues with high-pressure water alone
-
Prevents re-deposition of contaminants
-
Minimises need for chemical scrubbing
Sticky or oily cargoes may still require reduced dosages of cleaning chemicals for optimal results.
Slip-Coat may also be applied to decks, superstructures and areas exposed to cargo dust during loading/unloading.
Dosing Method
-
Ensure cargo hold surfaces are clean and dry.
-
Apply Slip-Coat™ directly from the drum; no dilution required.
-
Spray using low-pressure equipment.
-
When the surface appears uniformly water-wet, enough product has been applied.
-
Do not overapply.
-
-
One litre covers 15–20 m².
-
Allow 1–2 hours drying time depending on temperature and humidity.
Once dry, the hold is ready for loading.
