RO SCALE CONTROL 25 LTR
NALFLEET™ RO Scale Control™ is a broad spectrum scale inhibitor for Reverse Osmosis systems and membranes.
Description
NALFLEET RO Scale Control – Broad-Spectrum Antiscalant for RO Membranes
NALFLEET RO Scale Control is an advanced liquid antiscalant designed to prevent scale formation inside reverse osmosis (RO) and nano-filtration systems. By controlling common scale-forming minerals such as calcium, barium, strontium and silica, the product helps maintain system efficiency, stabilize permeate flow and reduce energy costs.
This updated formulation replaces previous product numbers PC-191.11R and 777199, and is fully certified according to NSF/ANSI Standard 60 for drinking water treatment applications.
Regular use of RO Scale Control minimizes the risk of membrane fouling, extends membrane life and reduces operational downtime.

Directions for Use
Performance Range
NALFLEET™ RO Scale Control is highly effective against:
-
Calcium carbonate
-
Calcium sulphate
-
Barium sulphate
-
Strontium sulphate
-
Calcium fluoride
-
Silica
-
Iron-based deposits
Use when silica in brine is under 185 mg/l at pH 7.5 and 25°C.
Dosing and Continuous Control
For best protection, feed RO Scale Control continuously into the RO feed line.
Typical Dose Rate
-
5–15 ml per m³ of feedwater
Dosing Guidelines
-
Install dosing point as close as possible to the RO membrane, typically upstream of the cartridge filters.
-
Operate the dosing pump at high frequency and fine-tune the pump stroke for accurate feed rate.
-
The product should be fed neat via a closed system to avoid contamination.
Dilution Guidelines (RO permeate only)
RO Scale Control may be diluted using RO permeate exclusively:
-
Prepare fresh diluted solution every 3–5 days
-
Inspect the day tank before each refill
-
Maximum typical dilution factor: 1:10
-
Dilutions greater than 1:10 require preparing new solution every 1–3 days
Bio-growth prevention
In warm climates, adjust the diluted solution to pH 10–11 by adding NaOH to prevent microbial growth.
Operational Importance
Maintaining low levels of scale is essential for RO efficiency. Severe fouling:
-
Increases energy consumption
-
Reduces permeate output
-
Causes premature membrane failure
-
Can block flow channels, making cleaning difficult or impossible
Continuous antiscalant dosing provides reliable membrane protection and maximizes system service life.
